This report presents Household Labour Force Survey (HLFS) results for the June 2010 quarter.  The HLFS was released by Statistics New Zealand on 5 August 2010.

Summary

Overall, the June 2010 quarter unemployment results were slightly above our expectations.  The recent volatility in HLFS has made interpretation of the survey difficult.  However, when you look at labour market conditions since the December 2009 quarter, the labour market appears to have turned and is improving slowly.
