The Department of Labour is seeking input on proposed amendments to the Approved Code of Practice for Load-Lifting Rigging. 

The reasons for the revision of this Code are:

• It contains out-of-date and erroneous information
• Legislative references need to be updated to reflect the 2003 amendments to the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992
• To consider the inclusion of rigging activities not necessarily restricted to the construction industry
• It is over five years old.

Your feedback on the proposed amendments is requested.  You can also submit feedback on other parts of the Code not already identified for amendment.
