Deputy Chief Executive - Executive Group

Geraldine Woods is the Deputy Chief Executive of the Executive Group for the Department of Labour in New Zealand. Her role involves supporting the Chief Executive through Organisational Strategy, Performance and Planning, Executive and Governance Support, Strategic Change, and Portfolio and Risk Assurance functions.

Geraldine has 16 years experience in contracting and management roles within the public sector. She has extensive knowledge and experience in contracting and purchasing for social services. She has worked in education and training, work and income, and health sectors. Her role in the Department of Labour assists the Chief Executive with strategic leadership, shaping and guiding the long term direction of the Department. Geraldine has a BSc and a Masters in Public Administration (Exec).
